Kaliedoscope Red Rocks

July 15th, Kaleidoscope Redrocks, the sister duo of Gracie and Tivona, ages 16 and 13, played classic rock, country, folk and pop songs at Vino de Sedona to benefit CAHT-NAZ.

The Coalition Against Human Trafficking - Northern Arizona has been busy during the last several months:

May 21st, CAHT-NAZ held a Boot Scootin’ Western Style Dinner Dance at the Sedona Elks Lodge. Proceeds of the successful event were split with Shared Hope International, an organization that combats human trafficking nationwide and worldwide.  Jo Lembo and Nick Lembo, both of whom are with Shared Hope, provided important information to the guests about trafficking prior to the dinner, live auction and dancing. CAHT-NAZ is grateful to the Elks Club and the many generous sponsors who supported the event.

March News

February 26th CAHT-NAZ helped sponsor the screening of Wake Up—a narrative feature film directed by Janet Craig—during the Sedona International Film Festival. The film, written by Janet Craig and Dan Horan based on real-life stories of foster children who tragically become human trafficking victims, tells the story of a quiet community rocked after a former foster teen accidentally gets his love interest and her best friend targeted by a sex trafficking ring. In addition to a Q&A with the film makers following the film, CAHT-NAZ hosted a panel discussion with Johannah Rutschow, Victim’s Advocate with the Cottonwood Police Department, and Vienna Welch, Senior Officer with Juvenile Probation of Yavapai County, about what is being done in Arizona and the Verde Valley to stop sex trafficking and identify trafficking victims.
