HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN OUR BACKYARD is on a mission to help everyone become aware of the issue of human trafficking, giving victims of this atrocity hope for recovery.

“Imagine if every doctor, every teacher, every convenience store employee, every realtor, every occupation knew what human trafficking was how to recognize it and how to report it. We could stop human trafficking in our lifetime.”

Please take 4 and 1/2 minutes of your time to watch “Hidden in Plain Sight” (video below)

Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide—including right here in the United States. It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality. Traffickers might use violence, manipulation, or false promises of well-paying jobs or romantic relationships to lure victims into trafficking situations.” - source: US Department of Health and Human Services, “Blue Campaign”
