“Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States. It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality. Traffickers might use violence, manipulation, or false promises of well-paying jobs or romantic relationships to lure victims into trafficking situations.”—source: US Department of Health and Human Services, “Blue Campaign”
Coalition Against Human Trafficking – Northern Arizona (CAHT) is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission includes educating our community about federal and local legislation that impacts human trafficking without regard to political party sponsorship. CAHT avoids political commentary but rather focuses on reporting about individuals who may be victims or perpetrators of human trafficking or who work to combat these crimes and assist survivors.
